He wants 400 or best offer so he'll obviously "deal" with you on price. Probably worth at least $350 for just the horns and h.f. drivers as long as they're Altec drivers--and maybe he'll take even less. Woofers look to most likely be non Altec--I'd replace them immediately if I bought these (or just pull the horns and drivers and use them elsewhere). Home brew cabs aren't they? Seems like an unusual spot to place the port--or is that design more common than I'm aware of? Hmm, Virginia, a little over a six hour drive each way from here (I've driven that far for Altecs before). I do need a pair of Altecs for my garage but the cabs and woofers are telling me to wait for a better overall speaker system. If I needed a pair of 511's (depending on what drivers are included), I'd probably be all over/auditioning these and "negotiating" with him on the price right now .....
